The fortieth anniversary of the founding of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers was celebrated at a meeting held November 5, 1920, at the Engineering Societies Building, 33 West 39th Street, New York. This celebration was one of thirty-two similar meetings held simultaneously in some of the larger cities throughout the country.
