Abstract :
An FIR filter can usually be realized in the direct form or in cascade form. The Chebyshev-type structures, known for the 2-D FIR filter implementation, are generalized to the realization of arbitrary 1-D causal FIR filters. The new realizations show several attractive properties and can be implemented using modular pipelineable processor arrays
