Abstract :
The statistical features of effective rain height have been studied based on an analysis of radiosonde data and S-band Doppler radar and Ku-band radiometric measurements. The results from radar and radiosonde measurements are compared with the ITU-R recommendations. A discussion of the exceedence probability statistics of rain height is also presented based on a radiometric data analysis
