Abstract :
T he world around us certainly continues to change. From an IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) perspective, some of the key changes are the increased interest in open access publishing, the desire for high-quality, easily accessible online information, the emergence of new technical fields, and the rapid growth of microwave communities around the globe. A key focus of the MTT-S this year has been to continuously look at the way the world is changing and take action to improve our Society to keep up with these changes. In this month??s column, I will discuss some of these new initiatives and improvements.
