Abstract
A study was made on the application of the probabilistic method to evaluate the thermal deterioration of the transmission line conductor. The climatic data of the area concerned and the current data were collected and the reduction in the tensile strength of the conductor was used for the representation of the deterioration of the conductor. First, a static calculation was made assuming that all the data are statistically independent. Then, a dynamic calculation was made by using all the independent data, and the results were compared with the first one
