Abstract
This paper presents a method for the calculation of faulted power systems using phase coordinates. The method is more efficient and easier to program than the classical symmetrical components based fault analysis methods. Furthermore, it allows the study of any complex fault conditions and the inclusion of multi-phase components such as high phase order transmission lines
