Backstory

Early this year, IEEE Spectrum´s office in New York City played host to a little yellow dancing bot, a Korean humanoid, and a pair of furry mechatronic seals. Those robots and others came to be photographed for a project that Spectrum is unveiling now, called Robots for iPad. It´s an app that runs on any iPad model, including the new iPad mini, and it´s available in Apple´s App Store. Read all about it in our annual gift guide, in this issue.
