Abstract :
The integration of laser techniques in an embedded system is studied in this paper to propose an embedded system that is able to remove deposited layers, to collect ablated matter, and to perform an ??online?? characterization of ablated matter in a tokamak. Due to environmental constraints (particularly, pressure), this innovative system, which can be used between two plasma sessions (without pressure and temperature breaks) presents some limitations. We will see that, due to its limitations, the system (currently at a concept stage) will be favorably used to clean small areas or as a diagnostic system. Results presented in this paper are based on studies and simulations. An experimental validation is underway.
