Abstract
The authors show that all-optical beam steering is possible by employing an array of uncoupled nonlinear waveguides. This can be achieved by varying the input power into successive waveguides in a linearly ascending or descending fashion. Examples are given which show that deflection angles up to approximately 1 degrees can be achieved at relatively low power levels, when such an array is implemented on a multiquantum well sample.<>
