Abstract :
This paper discusses an interval reliability R(x, T) of a 1-unit system with repair. The R(x, T) is derived explicitly for the case in which T and x are distributed exponentially. This paper also discusses the optimum preventive maintenance policies maximizing the limiting interval reliability when T is constant and maximizing the interval reliability when T has an exponential distribution.
