  • Abstract
    A method is presented for predicting the eddy current field of a rotary bias field device for magneto-optic recording. The method entails a simulation of the device dynamics and an evaluation of a semi-analytical expression for the eddy current field. The theory is demonstrated via application to a practical bias field device
