Abstract :
This is a statistical paper. The optimum critical values for preliminary test of s-significance are obtained by regarding a minimax regret function as the criterion in pooling data from extreme-value distributions. The optimum values and their corresponding levels of s-significance are tabulated for several sample sizes.
