Abstract :
A k-cascade system with k components is formulated where a single random stress is applied to all components each with an s-independent random strength. The minimum variance s-unbiased and Bayes estimators for the reliability of this system are obtained when stress and strength are assumed to follow s-independent exponential distributions with unknown scale parameters.
