Abstract :
In this paper we explore possible physical causes for lower performance than anticipated in experimental electrothermal-chemical (ETC) firings using a one-dimensional code coupled to a plasma code to account for interaction between the rate of plasma flux and external pressure. Gradients in physical variables such as pressure are examined in comparison to conventional solid propellant guns
