Abstract :
Like many who have come before her, Teresa Nakra was bit by the technology bug. “People who knew me in college can´t believe where I´ve ended up,” she laughs. A trained orchestral conductor, Nakra grew up in New York and planned for a future in classical music, which she loved since she was a child. But after receiving an A.B. in music from Harvard University, Nakra looked at the path that lay ahead of her and was concerned that classical music might not be around in the same way for the length of her career. “I saw that audiences were aging and young people just weren´t engaged with classical music,” she recalls. “I wanted to do something that seemed socially vibrant and new.”
