Electro ´77: A three-ring circus: The vital statistics: 300 exhibitors, 42 sessions, and an expected 25 000 attendees

This second presentation of ELECTRO at New York City´s Coliseum and Americana Hotel (the first, ELECTRO ´76, was held in Boston, Mass., last May) has, as of this writing, been a near-total show sellout, with 99 percent of the exhibit space contracted for thus far. Some 300 exhibitors in 551 available booths are expected to top 1976´s totals of 275 exhibitors and 498 booths. Attendees will be able to see a wide variety of electronic wares displayed on two floors of the Coliseum, including instruments, components, subsystems, materials, computers, and systems. The estimated attendance of 25 000 is expected to be the largest for a major New York electronics convention in the last five years.
