Abstract
Describes Worcester Polytechnic Institute´s nontraditional approach to education. It is based on self-initiated study, terminal accountability, and undergraduate projects-rather than courses-as the heart of the learning experience. The school has only four academic requirements for graduation-three projects, and competency examination.
