Abstract :
A new, wideband, low-loss, equal phase front Bezier curve shaped transition between a microstrip line and an H-guide embedded into a dielectric substrate is presented. A thin H-guide structure where the separation between metallic plates is much smaller than lambda0/2 is implemented. Cutoff frequencies and design considerations for forming this H-guide at microwave frequencies between 2 and 6 GHz are discussed. Simulated and measured results are presented and discussed, and a good agreement is shown.
