Abstract :
The authors propose an original method for addressing the ATM cells (via AAL-5) that allows the detection and localisation of lost cells. This method is particularly suited to the train transport MPEG-2 packet structure, but it may be generalised for other applications. Elimination of the packing delay and propagation errors, in addition to 100% mapping efficiency, which apply for every size of PDU, are the essential advantages of this method
