Abstract
It has become pretty common that more power supplies are growing to be located near load centers, as well as the closed loop operation, which have caught the problem of short-circuit current exceeding standard. Considering this issue has not got enough attention, the available current limiting methods in the ring power system with multi-sources have been studied and concluded as two means that are increasing circuit impedance and decreasing circuit numbers. Then the principle of the methods is investigated by analyzing the relationship of the changing rate between short-circuit current and the impedance matrix, branch impedance and so on. Furthermore, the current limitation procedure is proposed and applied to an actual ring distributed network with multi-sources, the simulation and practical operation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods and procedure.
