Abstract :
Hallie Gengl is not your typical college student. Yes, she might go to parties, hang out with her friends, or even cram the night before for an exam. But her accomplishments are what set her apart. Gengl, who is finishing up her sophomore year as a double major in earth and space exploration and meteorology/ climatology at Arizona State University in Tempe, is cofounder and vice president of Arizona State University???s (ASU) chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-ASU), a nonprofit organization formed in January 2010 that encourages students to get involved in space exploration beyond regular classroom learning.
