Abstract :
The concern of this topic was whether the consumer technology assisted by the charities would be helpful for the elderly and disabled people. Some technologies mentioned were the use of the telecare, electronic tagging devices, telephone technology and use of Internet. But it was emphasized that the developers and consumer tech should consider that the technology would really be a solution for elderly and disabled and not a problem.
