Abstract :
Wind farm located at Soda in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, India was studied. Analysis for differences in the annual electric energy produced by twenty wind turbines of same model was carried out. Data related to wind farm were obtained from site and used in the calculations. Results of analysis showed that monthly system availability during May to August was having a significant effect on the annual performance of turbines. It was also observed that annual system availability was not the major factor affecting annual energy yields. Location of a wind turbine within the wind farm may also influence the annual energy yield of the turbine.
