    The issue of scientists who simultaneously submit the same paper or slightly modified versions to a number of journals gained notoriety with a recent article, ¿Journals combat scientists´ deceit in submitting study reports,¿ in the New York Times (Dec. 14, 1982, p. C1). The subject may be newsworthy, but is not a new issue.
