Abstract :
This paper presents further analysis of a recently published application of Fortescue transformation theory in distribution power flow analysis with multiphase lines. It has been previously shown that when the three-phase network lines are transposed, the algorithm performance is significantly improved as compared to standard power flow calculation in phase coordinates. This paper reports a detailed analysis of voltage deviations in case when non-transposed network lines are assumed transposed, and argues that the error introduced due to neglecting line asymmetry is likely to be less significant than the loss in accuracy that is attributed to load estimation uncertainty.
