  • Abstract
The technology used in simulators has been turned to reducing the cost and risk of training in aircraft, and even providing thrill-seekers with excitement in fairground rides. The simulators have long been in use for everything from pilot training to fairground pleasure rides. The paper discusses some on the brains behind the latest generation of simulators, and finds a technology on the move. Electric actuators, and virtual reality are some of the technologies discussed.
