Abstract
The authors propose an indoor ultra wide band-multi-in multi-out (MIMO) array system constructed using cone antennas mounted on the icosahedral structure. To analyse this structure, we employ our recently developed MIMO array numerical simulation model, viz., wave propagation model combining the multilevel Green´s function interpolation method with the ray-tracing technique. The numerical results demonstrate that by using our proposed MIMO array structure, a very flat frequency response of MIMO channel capacity can be obtained with a broad bandwidth from 3 to 5 GHz.
