    Many organizations today are using the Software Engineering Institute´s Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and experiencing difficulties in applying it to their non-traditional software development efforts. The authors show how to improve project planning processes using the CMM by focusing on its intent, instead of treating its practices as gospel
