Abstract :
A buried heterostructure photonic crystal laser with a record-high direct modulation bandwidth of more than 67 GHz has been demonstrated using optical injection-locking. The resonance frequency of an injection-locked photonic crystal laser has been increased from 8 GHz at the free-running case to 64.4 GHz.
