Abstract :
Experiments were conducted to record voltage waveforms on a line-end induction motor coil structure embedded in a solid iron slot core model and in a laminated iron core model. The authors compare the voltage recordings for the laminated slot model against those for the solid slot model. A new program was developed to calculate voltages and currents in the line-end coil. The authors describe the new model, and show the applicability of the model to the laminated slot environment with some heuristic explanations
