Abstract :
A fully integrated high-performance low cost SECAM decoder is described. It comprises the SECAM cloche filter, an accurate PLL (phase-locked loop) FM-demodulator, a digital identification circuit, and a low-frequency de-emphasis. The circuit is alignment-free and requires two external (memory) capacitors only. This accurate color decoder has been realized by making optimal use of the capabilities of the baseband delay architecture and the features of modern combined bipolar/CMOS processes
