Abstract :
This paper focus on the PMSMs design aspects on the minimization of current ripples without adding additional inverter components. The analytical model of current ripples is developed. The high frequency harmonic components´ expression of stator MMF is derived based on this model. For further investigation, the method to design PMSMs with minimized current ripples is discussed. The influences of key design parameters are investigated. Finite element analyses and experimental results and are used to verify the model.
