Abstract :
The sampling pattern used in the HD-MAC signal depends on the motion content within the square block of pixels. There is usually a belt of blocks coded with lower resolution ahead of the moving object and on the opposite side. The authors develop a method to improve the picture quality of the erroneously coded nonmoving blocks. The additional samples needed for the high resolution are taken from the previous picture or from the following picture
