Abstract :
A slow but certain change is taking place in the teaching of electrical engineering. It is part of a broad change in U.S. higher education: an electronic university is beginning to emerge. Many components have been develops and are akeady in place-personal computers, computer-controlled video-disk systems, and video cassette recorders. Only cost and convenience will dictate if the changeover to an electronic university occurs on a wide scale in one decade, two decades, or more. But already private enterprise has jumped into the breach.
