            Abstract : 
In this work, an expedited battery life test method was developed for HEV battery packs, specifically for taxis usually under harsh driving conditions. Battery power profile was extracted from field data and intensified for expedited life test. The correlation between the battery cycle life test and the actual HEV mileage was established, using the accumulated battery energy as the bridge. This method takes less time and cost to verify if the HEV battery meets the reliability requirement.
