Abstract :
The current density distribution in a lithium-ion battery was studied by a modeling method using the finite element method. The potential and current density distributions in the lithium-ion battery were obtained through solving the equations of the modeling. Then the distribution of the temperature of the lithium-ion battery were calculated based on the conclusion of the modeling. The temperature distribution derived from the modeling was consistent with the results from the experimental measurement for the battery very well.
