  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a novel switched-capacitor balancing topology with an auxiliary inductor to reduce the total energy loss and improve the efficiency. More specifically, the balancing circuit couples the switched capacitor and the auxiliary inductor together to form a resonant switch unit. The simulation model of the resonant circuit is established and analyzed. Experiments also are performed to verify that the resonant switched-capacitor balancing topology. Results showed that the resonant topology for switched-capacitor balancing could reduce the total energy loss and raise the balancing efficiency.
