  • Abstract
To have a successful career as an engineer, and most other career paths, one must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly. The engineer does not want to be the one saying, “I know you think you understand what I said, but I´m not sure you understood what I meant.” Good communication requires that the people involved both understand the message and the intent. Without both, there is a strong probability that the results will not meet the expectations of the sender and receiver.
