Abstract :
The authors have developed a novel video equalizing system and its LSI with good cost performance which provides appropriate image quality by reducing the transmission distortion and short ghosts. Good detection performance of minute distortions (-35 dB) is achieved even in weak electrical fields as a result of the 128 time additions. A wide equalizing range (-0.7~+3.5 μs) is realized. Accurate phase matching of the input GCR (ghost cancel reference) signal with the internal reference signal (the phase error being less than 9 nsec) is achieved. High-speed (a minimum of four seconds) equalization is made possible by a novel algorithm
