Abstract :
A highly economic IC for worldwide video and sound IF applications was developed to improve the overall performance of video and sound IF processing. This device provides functions such as the amplification, gain control, and demodulation of the video and all possible AM and FM sound carriers, TV identification AFC (automatic frequency control), and switching functions, all of which are controlled by a microcontroller via the serial inter-IC bus-interface
