Abstract :
This paper studies a modified strategy of resolver-to-digital-R/D converter for motor drive and servo-system, which can be fulfilled by software without any other IC decoders. The quadrature sin/cos signals from the resolver are discretized instantaneously using the A/D, and then synchronously demodulated by the exciting sinusoidal signal, and filtered with compensation to track the rotor mechanical angle in space. According to the resolution and precision requirements in application, the tracking algorithm can be implemented easily with different parameters combination. The phase shift and wave distortion are two typical interferences causing decoding errors and the computer simulation results show that their dynamic responses and precision are coupled and contradictory , which needs a tradeoff among decoding parameters.
