Abstract :
We reported in this letter a dynamic switch of broad-band microwave in microstrip line based on controllable hollow cathode discharge plasma. The measured transmission efficiency of the plasma switch was 10-30% for 1-9 GHz microwave comparing with the full stripline. The transmittance signal responded to the discharge current simultaneously. It was demonstrated that the hollow cathode discharge plasma can perform the function of dynamic switch in the microstrip line.
