Abstract
Synchronisation of a class of complex dynamical networks with time-varying coupling delays is investigated in this study. Our strategy is to apply impulsive control to enhance the synchronisability of the complex networks. Sufficient conditions on global exponential synchronisation are derived by introducing a comparison system and estimating the corresponding Cauchy matrix. An impulsive controller is explicitly designed not only to achieve synchronised dynamics for the complex networks, but also to ensure that the synchronous errors converge with a given decay rate. The dynamical network with chaotic nodes is presented as a numerical example to illustrate the theoretical results and effectiveness of the proposed controller design procedure.
