Abstract
Multicolor electroluminescent (EL) device that emits red (R), green (G) and blue (B) lights has been realized by stacking a two-color emission part and a monocolor emission part. The former part consists of red and blue emission layers and an electron blocking layer, which can emit red and blue lights varied by changing the polarity of applied field, whereas the latter part consists of a hole transporting layer and a green emission layer, which can emit green light. The emission color from the R-G-B emission device can be modulated by applying various voltage to the two color part and to the monocolor part, separately
