Abstract :
The author disagrees with the two comments made in the above paper by Rachid (ibid., vol.40, no.2 (1995)) on the new loop transfer recovery (LTR) technique proposed by the author (ibid., vol.AC-32, no.9 (1987)): 1) the technique could lead to poor results; and 2) the technique cannot be applied to nonminimum phase systems. Referring to the first comment, it is pointed out that the new technique can yield exact solutions for all plants with more than inputs or with at least one stable transmission zero. The author dismisses the second as incorrect
