Abstract
In assessing developments in 1985, attention is called to the cancellation of the Sergeant York gun, the controversy surrounding the Amraam missile, and the advances in miniaturization exemplified by the Sandac IV computer. Also discussed are the advances made in developing an autonomous land vehicle and antisatellite weapons.
