Abstract :
For original paper see J. Tan and G. Pan, ibid., vol.43, no.11, pp.2600-7 (1995). Tan and Pan stated that certain analytical methods cannot be directly applied to transmission lines with finite thickness and finite conductivity because of the appearance of spurious modes. The authors contest this statement, and Pan and Tan reply to their comments.
