Abstract :
Optimal target radial velocity estimation for SAR-GMTI using polynomial rooting is developed. The developed method first obtains all extreme values of the likelihood function by polynomial rooting, and then searches the maximum among these extreme values to obtain the global optimal solution. It has much lower computational complexity compared to the velocity search method when the search step is small. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
