Abstract :
This paper proposed a new SVPWM method with reducing switching state of the 3-level NPC inverter. This method can reduce the switching loss by using small number of switching state than conventional method. Also, it is possible to reduce difference temperature of inner and outer switches of NPC PWM inverter by maintaining negative or positive switching state of a phase. The proposed method is demonstrated by simulation of 13.3kW wind power scaled model in comparison with same conditions as conventional method.
