Abstract :
We investigate the hypothesis that the cardiorespiratory interactions are based on relative coordinations which, in particular, incorporate intermittencies at the boundary between stability and flexibility. In order to evaluate the autonomic and voluntary mechanisms, corresponding phase relations are investigated during spontaneous and metronome-controlled breathing.
